Founders of LIWA
Sebastian George was born in Kambammettu, Idukki district, Kerala. After completing his education, he began his professional journey as a civil contractor in Kanjirappally, Kottayam district.
With a passion that extended far beyond construction, he dedicated his life to serving people in need. While building homes for clients, he also reached out to families who could not afford a safe place to live, helping them build homes and restore their dignity. For over three decades, he has stood beside individuals and families facing financial hardship, personal crises, and social challenges, offering practical support, hope, and compassion.
Believing that lasting change is achieved through collective action rather than individual effort, Sebastian George founded Liwa Foundation. The Foundation was established to unite compassionate people with a shared vision of transforming lives, uplifting communities, and bringing hope to those who feel forgotten.
Under his leadership, Liwa Foundation is committed to supporting the underprivileged, empowering vulnerable communities, providing shelter and essential assistance, responding to emergencies, and creating opportunities that enable people to rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence.
His vision is simple yet profound: to build a world where no one is left behind, every life is valued, and hope reaches every home.

Jancy Sebastian was born in Kattappana, Idukki district, Kerala. Since her marriage to Sebastian George in 1999, she has been an active partner in his journey of serving society, standing alongside him in numerous humanitarian and community initiatives.
A dedicated homemaker with a heart for service, Jancy believes that family extends far beyond the walls of a home. Guided by this belief, she has embraced the Liwa Foundation as an ever-growing family, welcoming and caring for people from all walks of life with compassion and love.
She is the proud mother of six children, a caring mother-in-law to two, and a loving grandmother to three grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit, unwavering faith, and commitment to helping others continue to inspire the Foundation’s mission of bringing hope, dignity, and support to those in need.
As Director of Liwa Foundation, Jancy Sebastian plays a vital role in strengthening the Foundation’s vision of building a compassionate community where every individual is valued, cared for, and given the opportunity to thrive.
